Westwood School’s Remembrance Day service was on Friday, November 9th. Mrs. MacDonald-Smith emceed the event. Thank-you to our guest speaker, Mrs. Gregovski, who shared her first hand experience about why Canada is so important around the world and during war time. Also, thanks to RCMP Const. Cleveland and Mrs. Bourguignon, a Legion representative, who helped students lay their wreathes.
Presentations shared include: Grade 5M - “In Flanders Fields”. Grade 8 - Response to "In Flanders Fields" Grade 3W and 3Wa - "Let there be Peace" The Westwood School Choir directed by Mrs. Lowe with pianist Mrs. Hyndman performed. |
