Their musicianship has grown a lot from this weekend, and we all had a blast! Ms. Pegus In early October, the Grade 5 classes visited the Anne Frank exhibit at the RD Parker Library. As a result, the students were inspired to share their gained knowledge of this ordinary girl and her extraordinary experiences. Today we practiced our school lockdown. The students did very well. Please take this opportunity to speak with your children about why we school lockdowns are necessary.
Thanks to Deputy Molloy of the Thompson Fire and Emergency Services, who came to speak with our classes about Fire Safety. Our students found the Fire Simulation House very educational.
On Tuesday Oct. 9th Grade 3 Wilson wrapped up our Stone Soup unit by making a batch of Stone Soup to share with our class. Students participated by bringing in a vegetable to add to the broth. Making Stone Soup is about working with what you have.
Kids roll the dice and multiply the numbers. The one with the quickest correct answer wins! What a fun way to practice our timetables!
