Manitoba Association of Parent Councils is dedicated to supporting, promoting, and enhancing
meaningful involvement and participation of parents in order to improve the education and well-being of children in Manitoba. Westwood School would welcome the involvement of a parent council, as we did not have representation this past school year. If interested, please watch for meeting notices in June, to start planning for the 2019-20 school year. Your involvement and support will be greatly appreciated. It was an amazing afternoon!!! Students, teachers and families were all there to cheer on our Vikings!!! We had so much to be proud of and we had so much fun in the process!!!
Ms. Steeves hosted the event! Kids and teachers alike were cheering for all of the athletes!!! Westwood students voted and our school mascot has been named Victor the Viking! He made an appearance at the pep rally!

S.A.L.T. is looking for help from the students of Westwood to find fitting name for our new mascot viking!
What we are asking is that each homeroom comes up with two names. Once we have the two suggestions from each homeroom, the S.A.L.T. members will narrow it down to a short list. Bring your suggestions to your classroom teacher this week!
